Heading up Caves Road today. Looking for a famed surf beach and some swimming up and around Yallingup.
Swimming should be an easy one. The surf spot a lot more difficult. It is called Honeycombes (in Wilyabrup). Have found the spot – not sure if the car will take the bumpy track.
Honeycombes
Honeycombes and Moses Rock Beach are at the end of Moses Rock Road.
Swing a left at the end of Moses Rock Road and that will take you down an unsealed road for around 3/4 of the road. The end of the road and the carpark is sealed.
Swing a right at the at the end of Moses Rock Road and that will take you down an unsealed road to Moses Rock Beach.
Moses Rock
Wind was howling at both beaches, but the swell was very small. I can guess that on story days, the crashing waves would be quiet a scene.
Drove back to Injidup Bay. This has been a long time between visits. Despite the wind, the beach was great. Virtually empty of people, but greeny blues for as far as the eye could see.
Injidup Bay
Whilst at the Bay, we spotted a pod of dolphins swimming by.
